Master carbon management strategies, emissions reporting, and reduction techniques to drive sustainable business and environmental impact reduction.

The AEE's Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM®) program is designed to provide recognition for professionals who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the growing field of carbon reduction.
This CRM® course provides internationally recognised comprehensive training in the critical areas of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, carbon reduction and associated reporting. The focused, fast-paced program is presented over 3 days and serves as both a knowledge expansion vehicle and a preparatory course for the AEE's CRM® certification examination, taken voluntarily on the 4th day.
The AEE's widely respected CRM® training and certification program was launched in 2008 and is now presented on 4 continents. The CRM® exam and course materials have recently been updated to reflect the very latest in carbon trends, reporting protocols and guidance documents.
Concepts covered include carbon auditing; emissions reporting and verification; emissions conversions; renewable energy sources and green power; energy efficiency technologies; fleet management; emissions trading; recycling and water; financing and marketing to maximise project success, and much more.
On completion of the CRM® course you will be able to immediately implement practical strategies and tactics to reduce your carbon footprint and environmental impact. On obtaining certification with the AEE you will be one of thousands of distinguished professionals in the international energy engineering fraternity.
This program is designed to help energy, facility, and business professionals become more adept at identifying and implementing effective carbon reduction strategies. Those who can benefit include:
Basic problem-solving skills, including quick and accurate use of a hand calculator, the ability to use basic algebra and financial competency to solve expressions and calculations from a written problem statement.
The examination and certification process is optional. The exam is typically held on the morning of Day 4, or at any other AEE examination day. It is a 4-hour open-book examination with a mixture of multiple choice and true/false questions.
Delegates must book for the examination and submit a certification application form before taking the exam. The examination may only be taken after completing the prescribed AEE CRM® training at a licensed provider. Exam results are only issued once the candidate is in good standing with EnTF.
Each CRM® candidate must attend the training, pass the written 4-hour examination with 70% or more, and meet one of the following criteria:
Re-certification is required every 3 years subject to participation in the AEE continuing education program (CEP). Verification of employment must be submitted.
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the In-Training certification (CRM-IT), valid for six years, which allows time to meet the full CRM certification eligibility requirements.
